We're hiring! Sustainability Research Specialist - part time

We’re looking for someone to lead our 2022 New Zealand Sustainability Professionals Research.

This groundbreaking research (https://www.oxygen-consulting.co.nz/download-reports), established in 2020, is the only of its kind in New Zealand, providing insight into the rapidly growing role of the NZ Sustainability Professional. The research is a collaboration between Oxygen Consulting, Sustainable Business Network, Sustainable Business Council and Auckland University of Technology. It presents a significant entry opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in sustainability as we would be aiming to bring this person into a more permanent position working with our clients beyond the research project. It also gives the person direct exposure to working with our partners, who represent New Zealand’s leading sustainable businesses.

Working with our fantastic partners Sustainable Business Council, Sustainable Business Network and Auckland University of Technology, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of industry stakeholders.

This project suits a student who is in their first or second year of a Masters or post-graduate degree in the areas of Science, Business/Commerce, Law, or Finance/Accounting, with a passion for sustainability.

The work involved in project managing the Sustainability Professionals research requires the following key skills:

  • Communication - Able to communicate clearly and simply, and to a wide range of audiences

  • Organisation - highly organised, able to work to timelines, keep initiatives on track

  • Analytics and insights - able to manage large data sets and find the patterns, connections and interlinking ideas or themes. Ability to draw insights from complex data sets

  • Relationship building/stakeholder engagement - able to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and accommodate different points of view
