Backing Better: Part 4

Last month, our Principal Consultant Gerri Ward shared the third instalment in her ‘Backing Better’ series of interviews with sustainability thought leaders who are making a real, tangible positive difference in tackling climate change, where she talked with Cairo Akehurst: Futurist, CEO and Founder of Space-Agri-Tech company Cattle Credit, winner of the Inaugural Prime Minister’s Space Prize…..and Year 13 student at Cashmere High School.

This week, Gerri has a chat (and a wine, in celebration of International Women’s Day) with Natalie Ferguson, co-founder and CEO of Powrsuit: a career accelerator for women, that provides bite-sized learning and micro-networking that takes professional development out of to-do lists and into weekly routines.

Natalie coaches and interacts with hundreds of young (and not-so-young!) people every day, and can attest to some fascinating trends, commonalities in mindsets, and cultural challenges young women face when entering and staying in the workforce. Spoiler alert: it’s not you!

Have a listen and nod along. Heads-up – it doesn’t end up where you might think it will..
